The project’s actions focused on recovering the vegetation of the Lake Paranoá shoreline through the planting of seedlings and seeds of native species, improving the shoreline’s ecosystem functions and the well-being of visitors.

Promote recovery in Permanent Preservation Areas on the shores of Lake Paranoá that were irregularly occupied.

Residents and visitors to the South Shore of Lake Paranoá and DF society in general.

December 2019 to February 2022.

Consistency over time

Consistent over time, as long as the plants are in the areas where they were planted they will contribute to ecosystem services such as improving air quality.

Evaluation of the Good Practice

Positive, many visitors to the Orla are happy with the development of the project, some residents are involved in taking care of the plants and the benefits of having a restoration of vegetation will last for many years.
