family-friendly sustainable city

(V.D.10) Vulnerable Families

1.        Family perspective training for new officials for the 2023-2027 period. February 2024.

60 level one and two officials were trained with the goal of disseminating the UN’s core areas of work for families, such as: Families in Poverty, Work-Family Balance, and Solidarity Families. This includes the two core areas proposed by the municipal DIF system for family strengthening: Bonding Skills and Interaction.

As a result of the previous exercise, a compendium of indicators is being designed for all the programs implemented by the City Council in its three secretariats and 23 Directorates that directly serve users.

2.        The Family Strengthening Committee was established. February 2024.

To publicize and collaborate on the “Family-Sustainable City” project with civil society, academia, the presidents of citizen participation committees, business groups, and health professional associations, the Family Strengthening Committee was created. This committee presents programs and indicators classified under the axes of combating poverty, work-family balance, supportive families, bonding skills, and integration.

3.        Strong Families Programs.

On May 27, 2025, the Strong Families program will launch in federal secondary schools and is projected to reach more than 1,500 adolescents ages 10 to 14 during the 2024-2027 administration.
