Family Allowance after the childcare allowance

(V.D.08) Affordability, (V.D.10) Vulnerable Families

The family allowance can be claimed flexibly for a child after the expiry of the childcare allowance until the child reaches the age of 10. The amount of the family allowance depends on the net income limit (1 table for 1 adult and 1 table for 2 adults) and the number of children. The amount of the family allowance ranges from € 54 per month to € 244 per month and is paid for up to 48 months. For example, for two adults and two children with an income limit of € 1,419.60, the family allowance is € 170. Recently, this support measure was adjusted. No changes are planned for the foreseeable future.
