Kujawsko-Pomorskie Telecare project provides innovative solutions via telecare, which improves the safety and comfort of life of the elderly and dependent people. As a part of the project in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region, a telecentre was created, which provides telecare services for more than 3,000 project participants.
The call center is operated 24 hours a day by qualified paramedics who react immediately to situations threatening the health and life of project participants. It increases with the awareness that the Telecentre is watching, and in the case of an emergency, the participant will not be left alone, but an employee of the Telecentre will take care of calling an ambulance and will inform relatives (family, and neighbors) about the sudden incident. The increase in the sense of security causes also an increase in independence. Without that, many of them would be excluded from various activities because of a fear of, for example, falling and the threat that after the fall they will be waiting for help for a long time.
As part of the service, the project participants receive a telecare device equipped with an SOS button, fall sensor, or geolocation.
