Mitla in defense of the family, legal advice, DIF assistance actions, and promotion of recreational activities

(V.D.10) Vulnerable Families

From the first day of the municipal administration of Luis Armando Olivera López, the focus has been on the family, as promised since the campaign. That is why two key agreements were signed to carry out actions hand in hand with organized civil society: with the Colegio de Profesionistas Compartir Conocimiento AC and with Fundación Hermanos en Situación Vulnerable AC.

With the Colegio de Profesionistas Compartir Conocimiento AC, legal advice campaigns for families and mothers have been deployed, mainly in coordination with the municipal DIF and the Instancia de la Mujer, with the aim of protecting the most important social nucleus.

On the other hand, various donations and festivals have been developed in conjunction with the Fundación Hermanos en Situación Vulnerable AC to promote family support for the empowerment of women and at the same time to generate spaces for coexistence in the community.

In addition, the City Council itself generates actions and spaces of unity to ensure that Mitla continues to be the first and most important Family Sustainable Municipality in Oaxaca.

Legal advice is given to mothers and families throughout the year with the support of the municipal DIF and the Municipal Women's Institute.Likewise, throughout the year - but most emphatically in March, Women's Month - we provide assistance and promote recreational activities.

Evaluation of the Good Practice

In the municipality of San Pablo Villa de Mitla we have received a positive internal diagnosis on the implementation of these actions. This has been carried out by the Colegio de Profesionistas Compartir Conocimiento AC, which participates in these activities. Currently, some public opinion polls are being carried out to obtain more results and indicators.

Future Goal 1

Achieve with conciliatory and sensitive legal advice the protection of single-parent families, achieving a 50% increase in child support for the benefit of Mitleño children.

Future Goal 2

Achieve the goal of carrying out at least 1 action per month focused on promoting coexistence in the population through festivals, workshops and the rescue of children's public spaces.

In terms of health and welfare, a 50% increase will be achieved in benefits and actions carried out in previous municipal administrations that seek to strengthen the economy, health and education of the population with a family focus, since in Mitla the family is the most important basic unit of this administration.
