The Transversal Axis United Family: this Municipal Administration places people at the center of its government, recognizing their dignity and autonomy in order to strengthen families, the Municipal Government, through its various bodies, recognizes the families of Durango as the recipients of the regulations, the goods and services it produces, the subsidies and the prevention, care and awareness campaigns it carries out. If the current economic framework, conditions (inflation) were to solidify, other parameters would primarily have to be changed (level of the equalization supplement reference rate, taxation of income, adjustment of unemployment benefit and the level of the emergency allowance, increase of other transfer payments, e.g. family allowance).,

Aim of the Good Practice

Durango families through public policies with a family perspective of the municipal bodies, their programmes and actions.

Consistency over time

In the gazette of 30 December 2022, the Municipal Government of Durango presented the Municipal Development Plan 2023-2025, which has six main axes and three transversal ones that will govern the course of this municipal administration, with the transversal axis "United Family" being the one that will govern the family policy of the Municipality.

Evaluation of the Good Practice

A process has begun to prepare three diagnoses: Family Strengths in rural and urban areas in Dgo, Psychosocial Risk Factors in workplaces served by the MFI, Family Strengths of families served by the MFI, in addition to the 2018 Diagnosis of Family Dynamics in the urban area of the municipality of Durango, which will be the basis for the development of family policy in the municipality, as well as plans and programs.

Municipal and state agencies, Municipal Planning Institute, Board of Directors and Citizen Councils of the Municipal Family Institute, business chambers, academia, and civil associations.

Future Goal 1

The elaboration, publication, and dissemination of 3 diagnoses: Family Strengths in rural and urban areas of the Municipality of Durango, Psychosocial Risk Factors in workplaces attended by the Municipal Institute for the Family, and Family Strengths of families attended by the MFI.

Future Goal 2

Begin a process of mainstreaming family policy, through concrete actions for each of the departments that make up this municipal government, especially in order to comply with the points of the Venice Declaration.
